About Laura Anderson

Her first freelance job was working as a volunteer for a crisis intervention center. She prepared highly successful fund-raising and volunteer speeches and letters, a coloring book hand-out for elementary school children and events programs.

Since then, she's written training manuals and procedures manuals (government agencies, data services and others). She's authored training courses and classroom materials (for several companies including an internationally based organization). She produced humorous technical hand-outs for field engineers, outlining various challenges with equipment and their solutions or "work-arounds"

In more recent years, Laura became an advertising and marketing rep for an ad agency at first, a group of weekly newspapers later, and after that, The Denver Post and subsequent Denver Newspaper Agency (17 years combined experience),

Laura worked with a variety of businesses from small, sole proprietorships to large corporations. With her writing and design experience, she created advertising and marketing campaigns. Laura has always had a strong commitment to her clients and a high level of integrity she's refused to relinquish.

Seeing the future of the internet long before it came to pass, Laura took her Associates degree in computer science, her writing experience and years in advertising and marketing in another direction.  She embraced the new technologies and began studying web marketing, search engine optimization, keyword strategies. Moving from print to the internet was not as big a leap as expected. Search engines and a shorter visitor/reader attention span became the focus of change in web content and design over the traditional print media. 

Laura's integrity and commitment to clients wouldn't allow her to arbitrarily sell print advertising at such a huge cost when there was a better, less expensive alternative available. She firmly believes, and advises her clients, "there's a time and place for each venue and an effective advertising budget does well to reflect both."   

Laura's technical knowledge, writing skills, marketing experience, customer commitment and professional service  are the things she brings to each and every project, large or small.
